After successfully moving into a new house with a huge garden, 2 supported individuals were very excited to make a start on their new vegetable garden.
The plan is to have 4 plots in which to grow vegetables of their choice.
They started off by placing a pallet case surrounds on the ground in the chosen area of the garden. This was used as marking points. Staff then removed the turfs of grass which both supported individuals then placed into a garden bag, which will then be disposed of at the local tip safely.
Next, both supported individuals took the garden spade and fork and began digging the ground before adding a big bag of compost which they mixed into the dirt. By adding compost, this will enrich the soil and provide it with some nutrients.
After completing their first plot, the supported individuals took a well-deserved break and enjoyed a good cup of tea before making a start on their second plot.
“I am very proud of how well both supported individuals have settled into their new home and look forward to sharing lots more positive outcomes” – Tracey, Team Leader
A hard days work pays off! Well done to all of those involved.
